Head Coach
Camila Silva
Coach Silva, from Chile, is a US Speedskating Level 2 Certified Coach with 10 plus years of experience in the DC Metro Area. Before her coaching career, she participated in multiple inline, ice speedskating and cycling events. She began her new position with UCB as Head Coach for the start of the 2023-2024 season. Coach Silva is excited to provide a training regimen that promotes aerobic and anaerobic activity as well as inculcating the love for speedskating and all sports to all athletes.
Assistant Coach
Shaner LeBauer
Coach LeBauer is a short and long track Olympic Trial veteran. His extended skating career naturally led him into coaching and his first official role at UCB. He will be learning under Coach Silva in pursuit of his Level 1 US Speedskating certification. LeBauer also doubles as club Equipment Manager. His equipment expertise will help skaters gain an extra edge on ice all season long.
