Sponsorship

United Capital Blades Speedskating Club is a current and valid 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in accordance with the standards and regulations of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). As such, corporate sponsorships and donations are tax deductible and receipts are provided

 

Funds:

All monies raised from sponsorships and donations will be used to pay for core operating expenses, including but not limit to the following:

• Subsidize the purchase of ice time at Wheaton Ice Arena and coaching fees (approx. $40,000 per season)

• Fall/Winter development camp (featuring Olympian as guest coach = $12,000

• Expenses for four team races per year ($1,700 per race = $6,800)

• Team jackets ($65.00 x 30 = $1,950.00)

• US Speedskating subsidized boots, blades and equipment for Learn to Speedskate and new skaters ($1,000), as well as team sharpening equipment ($500.00)

Goods and Services

• Providing goods and/or services to our club at a discount or no cost

Examples are:

• Providing our membership with a discount at a sports equipment store

• Donating or providing at a reduced cost services such as printing and website design

• Donating or providing at a reduced cost equipment such as boots and blades or promotional items like branded water bottles and t-shirts
